MiCaso Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 17, 2026
Who we are
MiCaso and PetitionPro are software products operated by PetitionPro. MiCaso helps users track USCIS case information, organize immigration documents, prepare for immigration milestones, use educational AI tools, and request optional office services. PetitionPro provides related software for immigration preparation offices and authorized users. MiCaso and PetitionPro are independent platforms and are not affiliated with USCIS, DHS, the U.S. government, or any government agency.
Information we collect
We may collect account information, login information, profile information, language preference, device and app diagnostics, support requests, subscription status, billing-related identifiers, case names, receipt numbers, USCIS case status information entered or synced by the user, saved calendar events, appointment preparation requests, uploaded notices, uploaded documents, extracted text from notices, messages, AI prompts, AI responses, challenge answers, and other information you choose to enter or upload. Immigration information may be sensitive and may include names, dates, addresses, identity documents, USCIS notices, family or relationship information, immigration history, deadlines, evidence, and other case-related records.
How we use information
We use information to provide and operate MiCaso and PetitionPro, authenticate users, maintain accounts, display case status and history, save documents, create calendar reminders, respond to support requests, process office-service requests, provide educational AI responses, improve reliability, prevent abuse, maintain backups, send account or service-related communications, and comply with operational or legal obligations.
Analytics, app installs, and advertising measurement
We may use first-party analytics and third-party measurement tools, including Apple App Store analytics, Google Play analytics, Vercel or similar web analytics, RevenueCat subscription analytics, and Meta/Facebook App Events, to understand app installs, app activity, subscriptions, purchases, feature usage, advertising performance, conversion measurement, fraud prevention, and reliability. These tools may process device identifiers, app identifiers, advertising identifiers where permitted, device and app activity, purchase or subscription events, coarse technical information, and event metadata. On Apple devices, when required, MiCaso requests permission through App Tracking Transparency before using data for tracking or advertising measurement. Users can manage tracking choices in iOS settings and advertising choices through Apple, Google, Meta, or device settings.
AI features
MiCaso may use AI features to explain notices, summarize user-provided information, organize questions, and provide general educational guidance. AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete and do not replace official USCIS notices, legal advice, attorney review, or accredited representative review. Do not enter information into AI tools unless you are comfortable with that information being processed to provide the feature.
USCIS status and case history
When MiCaso displays USCIS case history, it is intended to show official USCIS-provided titles, dates, and descriptions without replacing or changing the official source. Users should verify deadlines, appointment details, addresses, and instructions directly from official USCIS notices and government websites before acting.
Documents and notices
Uploaded documents and notices are stored for the related account or case. Documents may include sensitive personal, immigration, identity, family, employment, financial, or relationship information. Users should upload only documents needed for the feature they are using and should remove documents they no longer want stored when deletion tools are available or by contacting support.
Payment and subscription data
MiCaso Plus subscriptions may be processed by Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Stripe, or another payment provider depending on where the purchase is made. We do not intentionally store full payment card numbers on our servers. We may store billing identifiers, subscription status, plan type, renewal status, purchase source, and related billing metadata needed to operate subscriptions and account access.
How information may be shared
Information may be shared with service providers that help operate the platform, including hosting, storage, authentication, analytics, advertising measurement, customer support, email delivery, notifications, AI processing, payments, and security tools. Information may also be shared with authorized office users when you request office services, with clients or preparers through PetitionPro collaboration tools, and when required to comply with law, protect the service, prevent abuse, or respond to valid legal requests.
Security
We use authenticated access, private storage controls, server-side authorization, HTTPS in production, secure credential handling, and limited access practices to reduce unauthorized access. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Users should use strong passwords, keep devices protected, avoid sharing login credentials, and avoid uploading documents that are not needed.
Data retention
We may retain account, case, document, message, billing, support, and diagnostic information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain records, support users, comply with legal or operational obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and improve the platform. Some information may remain in backups, logs, billing records, or legally required records for a limited period.
User choices
Users may update profile information, change app language, manage subscriptions through the applicable app store or billing portal, remove local data, request support, or delete their MiCaso account from inside the app when signed in. Users may also visit https://app.micasoapp.com/data-deletion or contact support@petitionpro.io for privacy, deletion, export, or correction requests.
Children's information
Immigration cases may involve information about children when a user, preparer, client, or office enters that information for a case. MiCaso and PetitionPro are not intended for unsupervised use by children. Users are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate authority to provide information about minors.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the platform changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised last updated date. Continued use after changes means users accept the updated policy.
